For anyone who didn't quite get it, Valinor was the land across the sea in the Tolkien universe where the events of The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings (among others) took place. It was the "Undying Lands", the final destination of the Eldar when their time in Middle-earth had ended, home of the Valar, who, in Middle-earth terms, were the angels/deities responsible for shaping the world which Iluvatar had created. But I digress, because this isn't a place for my nerdgasm, although to some extent, it is an ode to it.

This blog was created out of the desire to document my musings about my journey towards fitness. It's a hard road, I'm sure, but one that will be worth it.
